Frequently Asked Questions about Women's Health

What does "multi-disciplinary care" mean for my health?

It means you have access to a collaborative team of practitioners—including Physiotherapy, Acupuncture, Counselling, and Naturopathic Medicine—all working together under one roof. We assess your health from different perspectives to ensure we find the root cause of your issues, resulting in a more comprehensive and effective treatment plan.

Do you treat specific conditions like PCOS or Endometriosis?

Yes, we manage a wide range of specific women's health conditions. Our team provides specialized support for issues like PCOS, Endometriosis, Pelvic Pain, Menopause, Hormone Imbalances, and Infertility. The specific treatment (e.g., Acupuncture for pain, Naturopath for hormones) depends on your unique symptoms and needs.

Do I need a doctor's referral to book an appointment?

No, a referral is generally not required to see our Registered Clinical Counsellors, Acupuncturists, or Osteopathic Manual Practitioners. However, if you are seeing a Physiotherapist or Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), please check with your extended health insurance provider, as some plans still require a physician's note for reimbursement.

Can you help me if I am undergoing IVF or IUI?

Yes, we offer essential supportive care if you are pursuing Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) like IVF or IUI. Our Acupuncturists and Counsellors work to reduce stress, optimize blood flow, and provide emotional support during your cycle to enhance the success of your primary treatment.

What are the options for treating Pelvic Pain and Incontinence?

Pelvic Pain, Incontinence, and Prolapse are primarily addressed by our specialized Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist. They provide internal and external assessments and therapeutic exercises. Additionally, Acupuncture, Osteopathy, and Chiropractic Care may be used to address related structural and muscular alignment issues contributing to the pain.

Is my session confidential?

icAll sessions with our Registered Clinical Counsellors are strictly confidential, within the professional and legal limits of their practice. Your privacy and safety are paramount across all services at 3 Cedars Wellness.
