COVID-19 Policies & Procedures

3 Cedars Wellness Collective is committed to ensuring the highest standards of health and safety, and understands the importance of keeping our staff, patients and community safe. This is an in depth list of precautions we are taking at this time. This includes staff and patient expectations.

Please review the following COVID-19 policies and procedures prior to attending your appointment.

For the safety of patients, staff and our community, all visitors and staff must first answer “NO” to the following questions before they enter the clinic:

  • Have you travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days?
  • Have you tested positive for COVID-19 or knowingly come into contact with someone who has in the past 14 days?
  • Are you experiencing any cold, flu, or COVID-19-like symptoms (ie. fever, new cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing)?
  • Have you been asked to self-isolate by public health due to possible COVID-19 exposure?

If patients answer YES to any of these questions, they will not be permitted to enter the clinic at this time. If you have an appointment booked please call us to reschedule.

Staff will not be permitted to work if answering yes to the above questions and will follow the same protocol as patients and community members.

Anyone experiencing any of the above listed symptoms who have been advised by public health to get a COVID-19 test, will require proof of testing before entering the clinic. The note must be dated no later than 14 days prior to the appointment.  If you have been medically advised against testing, please wait until symptoms have resolved for at least 48 hours before re-booking.

Please bring a clean mask to wear at all times while in the building.  If you forget your mask, one can be provided for you.

The following is a list of expectations for individuals entering the clinic for treatment.

  • Please do not come to your appointment if you are sick or are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, if you are required to self isolate due to travel or have been exposed to COVID-19 in the past 14 days. Please refer to our above guidelines. Practitioners will also screen patients before treatment and document the screening in the patient chart.
  • Please contact the clinic to cancel appointments as soon as you are aware that you cannot keep your originally scheduled appointment. Cancellation fees will be waived at this time.
  • We are asking that patients come to their appointment alone whenever possible and that anyone accompanying them wait outside the clinic. Young patients may be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Patients are asked to bring a mask to each appointment.
  • Please arrive at the clinic doors no more than 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. We are doing our best to keep the flow of people within our facility manageable and as low as possible to ensure physical distancing measures can be met.
  • Upon entry into the clinic everyone is expected to sanitize their hands with an alcohol based hand sanitizer, which we will provide.
  • Please maintain physical distance with staff and fellow patients while inside when possible.
  • Ensure physical distance is maintained while waiting your turn at reception and respectfully communicate from behind the plexi-glass.

The following are measures that our practitioners and staff are taking to keep our environment safe. These are the minimum measures but please know we are all going above and beyond when and where we can.

  • Practitioners will thoroughly wash their hands for at least 20 seconds with warm water and soap before treatment takes place.
  • Following the treatment all practitioners will clean all contact areas with a COVID-19 approved disinfectant. This includes any equipment, treatment tables, door handles etc.
  • Practitioners have gloves available to use at their discretion and will wear a mask at all times during your treatment.
  • A plexi-glass screen is installed at the reception desk.
  • Deep cleaning with disinfectant in the common area and ‘traffic areas’ will happen during the day at regular intervals and/or as needed as well as at the end of the day. This includes but is not limited to the reception area, washrooms and other clinic common areas.
